BBR Optometry owner, Optometrist Nick Rumney, will be jointly presenting a workshop entitled ‘Making Technology Pay in Clinical Practice’ at the Optometry Tomorrow 2013 conference taking place in Nottingham from 17th-18th March.
The interactive session aims to introduce delegates to the concepts that underpin a modern transition to computerised records. Nick and co-presenter, Dr Trusit Dave, will demonstrate the integration of older written records, new electronic records and electronic imaging and fields records based around practical demonstrations using large PC flat screens, scanners, a sample database, clinical imaging and visual fields.
The conference is organised by The College of Optometrists - more than 850 delegates are expected to attend the two day event that will see a host of speakers from the world of Optometry discuss a wide variety of topical subjects.
Nick Rumney says, “Optometry Tomorrow provides an excellent opportunity to network with peers and share best practice. BBR is committed to providing the very latest technologies and techniques to its clients; conferences like this are an ideal way of finding out about what matters to other practitioners and sharing our experiences for the benefit of all of our patients.”
Nick is a seasoned public speaker having presented at seminars and conferences around the world. He is the current Chair of Optometry Giving Site (OGS) as well as a member of the GOC Audit Committee. Nick is also Chair of the American Academy of Optometry’s (AAO) Admissions Committee.
