BBR Optometry accountant, Gemma Fosbrook, has been honoured for her achievements this year at the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Professional Member Awards.

The ceremony held at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel on Saturday 28 October, celebrated landmark successes of 315 AAT members, in front of an invited audience of over 650 people. The achievement ceremony included a welcome reception where members met President Nicky Fisher, pictured with Gemma.

Nick Rumney, BBR chairman, said: “We are proud of what Gemma has achieved in the last year, she is a credit to the BBR team and her dedication has been rewarded with this success.”

Last year, Gemma qualified as a full member of AAT, which also required submission of relevant experience to meet required standards of competences. Gemma also achieved AATQB status, which allows her to provide bookkeeping services to support businesses of all sizes.

Gemma, who is now a licensed accountant, says: “It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the success of all of the AAT members and it’s lovely to be part of the BBR team, they are very supportive of my ambitions.”
